Join me Wednesday as I talk with Katina Makris about her personal journey mending from Lyme Disease. Katina has worked in natural health care for 28 years, as a Classical Homeopath and Certified Medical Intuitive Healer. For 10 years, she was a popular newspaper health columnist and a board member of The Council for Homeopathic Certification. She is currently a board member of Be Tick Ready, a Lyme education group. Katina is a graduate of Duke University and The Stillpoint School of Integrative Life Healing. After 5 years of misdiagnosis and 5 more years of treatments, Katina has triumphantly overcome advanced chronic Lyme disease. She is on a nationwide Lyme awareness campaign with her recovery memoir and guide, "Out of the Woods; Healing Lyme Disease Body, Mind and Spirit," an award finalist for 2011 Best Book in Health with USA Book News and winner of "50 Authors You Should be Reading" by the Authors Show. She currently is at work on two new manuscripts, one of spiritual reflections and meditations, the other a companion workbook on Lyme disease recovery.
